Part I- Introduction To Homeopathy
This first section of the book contains one of the most comprehensive, yet incredibly simple explanations of Homeopathy availble.
Section One begins with Hahnemann's founding of Homeopathy, explains the "Law of Similars" and the concept of "Compassionate Treatment and Seeing the Patient as an Individual", moves on to Constantine Hering, The Father of American Homeopathy and discusses the resurgance of Homeopathy in the twentieth century, basically outlining the entire historical development of Homeopathy in under 15 pages.
The section ends by explaining potentization and how to use the Materia Medica and also adresses both "The Nature of Disease" and "The Nature of Cure".
Part II- Homeopathic Treatment
This section makes up the bulk of the book, instructing the reader in how to choose and administer remedies and when to seek veterinary help.
Chapters 6-14 each cover a specific area of your pet's body and the ailments of that area, ("Chapter 6: Skin and Ears", "Chapter 7: Mouth, Gums and Teeth", etc.) and list several possible remedies for each condition, and the specific symptoms associated with each remedy.
Chapter Fifteen is titled "Therapeutic Indications by Condition" and addresses problems due to allergic reactions, snake bites, fear, food poisoning, grief, worms, vaccine reactions and many more.
This section also discusses euthanasia and options for helping your animal family member move on naturally when they are ready.
Part III- Vaccination: Helpful or Harmful
As does Homeopathy for humans, Homeopathic pet care centers around treating the body naturally and leaving the patient unharmed. This poses many questions about vaccination and the effects of the biologically foreign make-up of many vaccines.
Again, this book manages to simply, yet thoroughly document and explain the ongoing argument against certain vaccines and vaccinations in general, including sub-sections entitled "What Steps Should You Take With This Information?" and "If You Still Decide to Vaccinate, What Vaccines Should You Use?"
Part IV- Materia Medica
This last section is an alphabetical list of the Homeopathic remedies mentioned in the book and a description of the modalities, generalities, and behavioral symptoms that define them.
