Petmate LitterLocker® Plus uses a refillable disposable seven layer bag system with Petmate® products’ own Microban® protection, locking away cat litter odors. It also has a deep, ergonomic litter scoop. Set-up of the Litter Locker® Refill Bag Cartridge is quick, and only needs to be done four to eight weeks per cat, depending on owner’s use habits.

LitterLocker®Plus Easy Set-up
The illustrated steps on the side of the box are not very helpful, but the instructional insert makes set-up and first use easy. The cartridge of Microban® protected bags first needs to be inserted into the LitterLocker® Plus, after the cartridge's tab strip is torn off and a knot is tied at the end of the plastic bag peeking out from the under side of the cartridge. General set-up guide is as follows:
- Fasten the knot to the turning mechanism inside the wheel
- Place refill cartridge on top of LitterLocker® Plus
- Close the LitterLocker® Plus lid and turn the dial on the side of LitterLocker® by a half-turn
The Petmate LitterLocker® Plus can store cat litter waste for up to two weeks and is easy to use.
Easy Scoop and Dial Odor Control
With a Petmate LitterLocker® Plus always kept right next to each litter box in the house or apartment, keeping up with cat litter odor control and disposal is easy.
- Scoop litter using sifter scoop provided with LitterLocker® Plus
- Open blue lid of LitterLocker® Plus and drop cat litter waste out of scoop into LitterLocker® Plus
- Close blue lid of LitterLocker® Plus
- Turn the blue dial on the side of LitterLocker® Plus by a half-turn.
- About every two weeks, take blue lid off LitterLocker® Plus and dispose of waste by using the child-proof cutter, tying-off the plastic bag and throwing away the waste.
- Reattach the remaining odor control bag refill cartridge and replace as needed
- When the bag refill cartridge is empty, replace it using the set-up instructions
