The Presidential Pet Museum in Washington D.C. holds information about the pets that once called the White House home. Quiz yourself on the names of the Presidents pets.

Washington D.C. Is full of information and museums about former presidents of the United States of America and now there is a museum for the presidential pets. The Presidential Pet Museum opened its doors in 1999 and holds information and artifacts about the animals that once called the White House home. The Presidential Pet Museum has a website for additional information about hours and location.

I thought a quiz would be fun. Match the president with the names of their pets. The answers are found below.

  1. President George H. W. Bush has dogs and cats and a pet long horn, what are their names?
  2. President Bill Clinton had a cat and a dog, do you remember their names?
  3. President George H. Bush had two English Springer Spaniels, one of which is the only presidential dog to write a book.
  4. President Ronald Reagan had two dogs at the White House, a Bouvier and a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel.
  5. President Jimmy Carter's daughter had a cat.
  6. President Gerald Ford had a Golden Retriever and Susan Ford had a Siamese cat.

  10. President Dwight D. Eisenhower had a dog while living at the White House.
  11. .President Harry S. Truman's daughter had an Irish Setter.
  12. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt owned numerous dogs including his favorite Scottish Terrier.
