Your dog testing positve for heartworms is a scary diagnosis. This article explains heartworm disease and treatment. The treatment is expensive but might be necessary to save your dog's life. If you can't afford treatment, talk to your veterinarian about starting heartworm preventative so your dog doesn't get worse.
