Many times puppies and kittens are purchased through a breeder or pet store. These puppies and kittens usually come with papers indicating that they have been dewormed and vaccinated. Should you trust this vaccination? The answer is, no.
Unless your veterinarian knows and trusts this breeder then I recommend you ask your veterinarian to booster the vaccination. Vaccinations need to be stored correctly, they also need to be mixed and given correctly in order for the vaccination to be any good. There is no way of knowing that the breeder (including those with experience) knows how to correctly handle vaccinations, and who knows if they can be trusted to have actually given the shot. Some breeders take their babies to a veterinarian for vaccinations and those, of course, I trust. I always recommend that you follow the advice of your veterinarian in the matter of vaccinations.
