» fridalolita - Keeping a stray warm

We have two cats living in our backyard. We feed them and will have them spayed next month. In the meantime, I would love any insight on how to keep them warm. I am very worried about them. Our garage is decent, but far from adequately warm. Thanks!

In response to Keeping a stray warm posted by fridalolita:
The cats will need some type of shelter that is not directly on the ground, leave a couple of inches for insulation. The sides should come down to the ground. Keep blankets in the shelter or something that can be washed to avoid a parasite problem.
The garage might be fine if you give them a box of some type that is small enough that they can snuggle in to conserve body heat, if it is too big they won't be able to keep any heat in.

I hope this helps.
