» deeceedee - possible problems in dogs pregnancy

my dog is about 5 weeks pregnant but not getting much bigger. she is a small dog and is probably only carrying 2-3 puppies, so is it okay that you can't tell if she's getting any bigger or might there be a problem with the puppies? should i take her to our vet? he already confirmed her pregnancy about 2 weeks ago, but she doesn't seem to have grown much since then. she should be due around jan. 21-24.

In response to possible problems in dogs pregnancy posted by deeceedee:
Dogs really start to look broader around week 5. I wouldn't worry to much, try to stay calm so that she stays calm.

As long as mom is eating and drinking normally and is not acting weak or lethargic I would not take her in.
